Brugués y Rosa Cros, elegidas Miembros de Honor
Nuevas Miembros de Honor de la SEB
La asamblea de la SEB reunida en el mes de Julio en Aranjuez, acordó nombrar miembros honorarios a dos de sus socios: Montserrat Brugués y Rosa Mª Cros, a propuesta de la Junta conforme dicta el art.20 de los Estatutos de la Sociedad.
Junto a la Dra Casas, Rosa y Montse están inseparablemente unidas al despegue de la briología que ha conocido España en la segunda mitad del siglo XX. No sólo por sus propias contribuciones científicas o por la ayuda que prestaron a no pocos briólogos que luego han dado brillo al trabajo briólógico en el ámbito internacional, sino también a los muchos proyectos que impulsaron o en los que se involucraron de manera decisiva, tales como la colección briofítica del herbario BCB, la Cartografía de Briòfits españoles, la Brioteca Hispánica, la Flora Briofítica Ibérica, y la propia sociedad española de briología. Los resultados de algunas de estas iniciativas han sido donados a la Sociedad y tanto estos como los que no lo han sido, constituirán un patrimonio de todos aquellos que trabajen en Briología en cualquier parte del mundo.

New Honorary Members at SEB
The Assembly of the Spanish Bryological Society in July in Aranjuez agreed to appoint honorary members to two of its partners, Montserrat Brugués and Rosa Mª Cros, at the proposal of the Board as dictated by art.20 of the Statutes of the Society.
Together with Dr. Casas, Rosa and Montse are inseparably linked to the takeoff of Bryology that Spain has known in the second half of the 20th century and to date. Not only because of their own scientific contributions or because of the help they gave to a lot of bryologists who later brightened up the work in the international field, but also because of the many projects that they promoted or in which they were decisively involved, such as the bryophytic collection of the BCB herbarium, the Cartography of Spanish bryophytes, the Brioteca Hispánica, the Iberian Bryofitic Flora, and the Spanish Bryological Society itself. The results of some of these initiatives have been donated to the Society and both these and those that have not been, will constitute a heritage for all those who work in Bryology in any part of the world.
